PoE support for NUCs? (uPoE or IEEE 802.3bt Power over Ethernet delivering power and data)

Are there any NUCs that support PoE out of the box?

In general, the form factor of the NUC family make PoE capability a natural fit, but I'm not aware of any NUC touting this capability. Have I missed something?

Hello MLevi,

I would like to update the thread.

Currently, we do not have a NUC supporting power over ethernet, there may be adapter/converters that might help out however we have not validated any, our recommendation will be trying testing a third-party adapter/converters, we appreciate the feedback.

Hello MLevi,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

To better assist you with your request, is there any specific model you want to use with PoE to further investigate it?

Hi Adrian,

It was a question in general about any of the current NUC models that support PoE, native out of the box without third party hardware add-ons.

Having looked through nearly every spec, I don't see that the IEEE specification in any model, which is why I'm asking in case I've missed it.

I have kiosk that must sit in the middle of a 1,000 sq ft room without using the power outlets (and leaving cable strewn across the floor, no matter how well done). This is for a client who is especially concerned about visual appearance.

The office space utilizes a PoE Switch and network topology coming down from the ceiling via an artfully done conduit to the kiosk.

My interest in in an i3 or i5 NUC that fully supports PoE.
