Possible to remove wifi and bluetooth?

Hello.

I want to use NUC's in my project. But because of security reasons I can not have either Wifi, bluetooth or any other wireless communication devices.

I wonder if it is possible to remove the wireless communications parts from the 10.th generation NUC. If not, is there an older version you would recommend where this is possible?

Thanks, best regards

Rabbe

Hello Rabbe,

You can't remove the WiFi adapter in NUC FN, since it is soldered down to the motherboard. However you may disconnect the Bluetooth and WiFi antennas from the WiFi module. In addition, you can disable Bluetooth and WiFi function in BIOS. As a additional safety measure, you may block entry into BIOS setting, by installing BIOS jumper in Lock position (pins 2-3).

in 7-th Generation NUC and in 6-th Generation NUC, the WiFi module is removable.
