Hey, just got mine today.. very happy with it so far(doesn't seem to run hot and noisy like previous i7 NUCs). š
I'm curious on what everyone's running, i.e. RAM, SSD, LED
so post your detailed specs here š
I'll start.
Model: NUC8i7HVK
RAM: 2x 8GB Kingston HyperX Impact DDR4 2666 (15-17-17-35)
SSD: 2x 500GB Samsung 970 EVO M.2
LED: 1x 27" Samsung CFG73 144Hz QLED (using Mini DP to DP Adapter)
p.s. I wanted to get faster DDR4 3000-3200 RAM but couldn't find any locally. š«

āI bought my Hades Canyon about two weeks ago, my specs are basically same with you.
Model: HVK
RAM: 2x8GB SAMSUMG DDR4 2666
SSD: 1x512GB Intel 760p+1x1TB SAMSUNG 850 PRO
LED: LG 32UK550 31.5" 4K AMVA using a Thunderbolt3 to DP adapter
p.s. DDR2666 is enough for i7 8809G I think, it's not necessary to waste money on those expensive memories for just a quad-core processor running at 4.2GHz max. Remember the VEGA GPU here has its own discrete HBM2 VRAM and doesn't need to share the main memory of CPU, so the demand of the bandwidth of the RAM is not as high as processors with iGPUs.
Hades Canyon is really a good or even nearly perfect small-sized high performance computer in my eyes, it's happy to see other people like it too.

I think it's worth getting fast RAM and SSD since that's the only way to improve the overall performance.
Also difference between slow RAM(e.g. KVR24S17S8/8) and fast RAM(e.g. F4-3200C16S) would be noticeable imo.
i.e. Kingston ValueRAM 2400 (17-17-17-32) vs G.Skill Ripjaws 3200 (16-18-18-43)
