Power Supply (higher wattage needed PCIe video card)

Hi - I have the NUC9i7QNX and am installing video card.

After seating the card and organizing cables.

On power on, my monitor goes active (blue) then no signal then orange then off.

I'm wonding if the power supply needs to be reviewed, or video card changed.

Are there any options for higher wattage power supply, or is that not the issue....

In another system card (with power plugged in top) worked fine.

Not so much in the NUC... perhaps I'm not giving it time for the Video Card to post.

Wondering if this ASUS RTX 3050 requires more power than is available, on the line?

It's using the 8pin aux power cord.  OC edition 8GB PCIe express support 4.0

I'll include a shot of the exact model info

If there are any larger power suppliers for these NUC's where can I find them?

485 W currently in it, I believe.

Is there a listing of prefered/tested cards for these 2022 NUC's QNX.

Thanks-

Mark

Hello SterlingMark,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following information:

  • To confirm, is the NUC turning on and then off when you try to use with the dedicated graphics card connected?
  • What cable are you using to connect the NUC to the monitor? Have you tried a different one?

Here is a list of compatible graphics card for this NUC model (https://compatibleproducts.intel.com/ProductDetails?activeModule=Intel%C2%AE%20NUC&prdName=NUC9i7QNX). Even though the graphics card it not listed, it should work based on the specifications.

Sorry for late reply. Thank you for the great compatibility listing. I was able to install and use the 3050 without issue. The i7QNX has 5Tb and runs perfectly.
