Problems with NUC8i3CYSM

Trying to install Fortnite on a new NUC8i3CYSM, but when I click on Epic Game Launcher, nothing happens.

I have the latest driver installed for the Radeon™ 540, 2GB GDDR5 graphics.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Quintonma

Thank you for posting in the Intel® community.

  1. Run the utility.
  2. Click on "Scan" to get the scanned system.
  3. Once the scan is complete click on "next".
  4. Use the "save" option, save the report to your desktop.
  5. To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.

Hope this helps.

Have tried all the suggestions you made already.

I have a few NUCs, the Intel graphics ones install without any problem, but not this AMD one.

Also as you can see from the report the wireless connection is not working correctly too, so using ethernet.

Have tried also installing Davinci Resolve for testing too but also hangs when loading waveform monitors wheras no problem again with the Intel graphic Nucs

Attached report.

Hello Quintonma

Thank you for the information.

I would recommend completing a clean installation for the Intel® wireless and Radeon™ graphics driver.

  1. On the keyboard, press WinLogo key + R, then type in devmgmt.msc
  2. Expand the Display Adapters section.
  3. Find the Radeon™ 540 Graphics.
  4. Right-click the Intel Graphics Driver and select Uninstall.
  5. Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device.
  6. Reboot the computer after the uninstall process has finished.
  7. Once the reboot is completed install the drivers downloaded previously.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help so far but still no luck, feel like throwing this little one out the window at the moment

I reinstalled graphics driver, and for some weird reason wireless also started working again on its own.

This was only opened brand new a few days ago, wanted to really check how well Fortnite went with the AMD graphics, dompared to the Intel NUCs. but still won't launch, which is weird as I have installed it on lots of PCs and never had any problem before.

Maybe an AMD thing?

One weird thing that is happening is it seems to go into an 800x600 window when its installing the launcher, then reverts back to normal, even updated the graphics drivers after to latest, but same thing, won't launch.

Hello Quintonma

Thank you for the information.

  • When he tries to open the app is the process ruing in the task manager and if the epic game logo appears on the hiding icons of the taskbar?
  • Have you tried contacting the game developer for assistance on this behavior?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem using the same NUC (nuc8i3cysm).

I did a fresh install and used the latest AMD drivers, but the "Epic Game launcher" will not start.

Can you please help me?
