SSD read limit

I was planning to buy Hades HVK model and use it with Samsung 960 pro ssd. I see several threads here about read speed limit of 1.5G/s for this drive but on different NUC models

Can anyone confirm please, that NUC Hades HVK has the same problem?

Hi Andmed,

I have the HVK model with Samsung's 970 EVO NVMe M.2 500G drive.

By using the Samsung Magician benchmark, it is showing around 3400MB/s read with 2400 MB/s write.

I have also tried AS SSD benchmark but sequential read was only around 2100MB/s but for compression benchmark

it was around 3100MB/s read.

I am no expert so I do not know how accurate these benchmarks are but it is indeed more than the 1.5G/s as reported

for other NUC models. In fact it is mentioned in the technical manual that it is capable close to 4000MB/s.

Looks like read/write speed is 2k/1.5k

I can also add that I have tried CrystalDiskMark yesterday and the benchmark results were very identical to the Samsung Magician results I have posted previously.

My HVK has a 960 Pro 2TB that I test every few weeks, is very close to advertised speed (Up to 3500 MB/s Read Speed)
