Slow network on NUC8i5BEK

Hello! I have a NUC8i5BEK - Core i5-8259U and combined it with 2x Ripjaws SO-DIMM, DDR4-2133, CL 15, 16GB and a Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe SSD, PCIe 3.0 M.2

I want to run ubuntu linux. It works without problems, but the network is really slow ( 5 kb/sec , 1000ms lag in LAN ). could this be a broken device or wrong driver? ( which driver should i use? ). all other devices on the network are working without problems, cables were checked.

i tried the server version ( http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/18.04.2/release/ ) as well as the NUC image ( https://www.ubuntu.com/download/iot/intel-nuc-desktop ) - same problem.

Wow, seems like a number of slow network issues.

The same issue is reported here: https://forums.intel.com/s/question/0D50P00004IyUqrSAF/intel-8265-dual-band-wireless-lan-speed-is-sl...

You may want to join that thread.

Hello TBlock, Thank you for posting on the Intel ® communities. Keep in mind that the NUC model you have specified has been validated to work with Windows 10 (64-bit). Please try using that operating system and see if the issue persists. More information in the link below: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005628/mini-pcs.html If the problem is driver-related, Linux distributions normally include all necessary drivers. Contact your Linux vendor and use their distribution resources for driver downloads and support. Regards, David V Intel Customer Support Technician Under Contract to Intel Corporation
