Can you tell me where I can purchase the CMOS battery assembly for the NUC5PPYH and for future use in the NUC11TNi3?
This assembly for the NUC5PPYH has these characteristics:
(1) CR2032 coin lithium battery.
(2) An attached twisted pair of wires (red and black for positive and negative, respectively) about 4 centimeters in length.
(3) A connector (Molex 51021-0200) that is wired with the correct polarity.
(4) Electrical insulation around the battery, with an attached double-sided adhesive pad to hold it onto the mainboard.

Amazon has them. Be careful not to grab one designed for Dell systems; they wire it the opposite way.

Thank you for replying. I agree that the CMOS batteries wired for the Dell systems appear to have the wrong polarity for the Intel NUCs. Unfortunately, the Tsorryen A model also appears to have the wrong polarity. And the pictures of the Tsorryen B model, which show the connector, are not quite clear enough to discern polarity with certainty. Both models are listed as discontinued on the Amazon web page. However, I have written to Torrysen to inquire further, so thank you for the lead. I am most grateful.

Unfortunately, the little inset pictures of the Rome Tech product show two different products, one which has an Ni-MH battery and the other has a lithium battery. The one with the lithium battery is in the third small inset picture, with model number RT-CMOS-29 and has the right polarity for the NUC5PPYH.

There are plenty of offers on Amazon for an individual battery. I provided this link for the 10-pack because it costs about the same amount as purchasing 2 individual batteries. I looked closely at the connector and thought that it had the right polarity, but I agree that it is difficult to see. If they are incorrect, you do understand that, with a gentle lift of the tabs (I use tip if exacto knife), you can pop out the pins and swap them in seconds.
