Hello everyone  :

Does anyone know if Tanihi creek base on Titan Ridge(JHL7440) that the

Type-C CC1 is connected to NB Type-C Port CC2 and

SBU1 is connected to Type-C port SBU2.Is the high speed signal(TBT/MFDP) flip by itself ? or control by Power delivery IC (ex: CCG5)

As shown in the figure below, is this correct?

Hello @BIOAK

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to provide you with the proper information, could you please confirm the following?

1- Our understanding is that you are looking for information regarding USB Type-C® Power Delivery (PD) controller and Intel® JHL7440 Thunderbolt™ 3 Controller. Is this correct?

2- Are you designing a system or deploying a project using Intel® NUCs or any other Intel® Products? If yes, please confirm the Intel® NUC model(s) or the Intel® Products regarding this request:

3- Could you please elaborate more about the type of project (if applicable) and why you need this type of information? (so we can have a better understanding of the request).

Best regards,

Hi Andrew G.:

Thank you for your reply.

This project is for factory testing of the typec port.

Because we have to meet the requirement of production line flow rate. So we can't manually plug/unplug the Typec connector for testing.

So we want to know under what condition the high speed signal of "JHL7440 Thunderbolt™ 3 controller" (e.g. table 452) will be flipped. Is it controlled by PD (e.g. CCG5) using i2c?

Hello BIOAK

Thank you for your response.

We basically provide support for Thunderbolt™ on Intel® NUC products. Since you are working on a project using Intel® JHL7440 Thunderbolt™ 3 Controller, this is within the scope of "Developer Questions". For more documentation about Thunderbolt™ technology, you may complete the application at this link >> Thunderbolt™ Developer Portal.

For further questions, you may also contact us at: Thunderboltadmin@intel.com

We hope this helps
