I can't reply that post. so post this

The speed is 15G 16G bps by iperf3 both with ubuntu 22.04, thunderbolt3 and thunderbolt4. I think it's 20Gbps

It's 40Gbps between thunderbolt4.

It will be 20Gbps between thunderbolt3 and thunderbolt4 ?

In reference to your question, according to the link below, you should be able to reach 40Gbps of network speed when using Intel® Thunderbolt 3 or 4:

Jia_lao, Thank you very much for providing those details and for sharing the picture.

The response to your original thread:

https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-NUCs/The-max-network-speed-in-thunderbolt-4-net/m-p/1403369#M92854

Is the following:

"After checking the case we can confirm that yes, the Intel® NUC should be able to reach 40Gbps network speed if the adapter being used supports that speed. Here you have the link for the Intel® Compatibility Tool where you might find different cables that support that speed, tested and validated by Intel®": https://compatibleproducts.intel.com/

You should be able to reply to your original thread since it is still open. If you have further questions, please reply to your original post. If you do not have that option, then your can always reply on this thread.

In reference to the new questions that you have, we will do further research on this topic to confirm those details. For us to be able to do that please provide the specific model of your Intel® NUC. If it is possible, please attach the SSU report so we can verify further details about the components in your platform and provide the most accurate response:

Not sure to follow. As you plug a nuc xx running tb3 to like a nuc11 running tb4 with cable in between ?

Also, iperf is limited when you run that in single thread. You can adjust option or go direct with iperf2.

And 1.8gbps is anemic and way not 20gbps. i may try with a quad 25gb network to see the rate.

Hello Opcod34, I just received an update on this matter.

While we are currently working on this case, there is further information needed:

What is the hardware model that you are connecting to the TB port?

Please attach the SSU report so we can verify further details about the components in your platform, check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":
