chrisv, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In reference to this scenario, it is important to mention that normally the thunderbolt device needs to be connected to the motherboard while installing the Thunderbolt driver so it can be properly recognized by the system and its configuration.

We always recommend to install the drivers provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since those drivers were customized by them to work with your specific platform.

I looked on ASUS's website and for some reason, there are no Thunderbolt drivers available for your computer. The latest graphics driver version though is shown on their website as V30.0.101.1631 from 2022/06/20:

https://rog.asus.com/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-scar-15-2022-series/helpdesk_download

In the following link, you will find further suggestions in order to try to fix the Thunderbolt problem:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000030689/intel-nuc.html

If the issue persists after trying the troubleshooting steps in the link above, for us to further assist you, we just wanted to confirm a few details about your system:

What is the model of the Intel® processor?

Is this a new computer?

When did you purchase it? (For Warranty Purposes)

Were you able to install the Thunderbolt driver on this specific machine before?

If yes, when did the issue start?

Did you make any recent hardware/software changes that might cause this issue?

Which Windows* version are you using?

Does the problem happen at home or in the work environment?

Please attach the SSU report so we can verify further details about the components in your platform, check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":

Any questions, please let me know.

I have the ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 duo OLED (UX840ZE) the solution you given does not work. the drivers will not install. not sure if its missing anything.

my issue.

I have a firewire device connected to an apple thunderbolt to firewire adapter connected to a apple thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter connected to the Zenbook thunderbolt port.

when connected nothing happens no notification that a device is connected. Tried installing  the driver and still nothing happens

it is working on my dell Inspiron 15 7577 thunderbolt 3 port.

all the new Asus 12th gen laptops that say its has thunderbolt 4 ports seem to be missing thunderbolt drivers why is this so.

@eyedear You should be asking ASUS these questions.
