I'm running a new installation of Windows 10 (installed today), I've done the steps needed to install the Thunderbolt driver(s?) and I've installed the Thunderbolt management software. That software sees my Thunderbolt drive and says it's active but it's not showing up as a drive in Windows itself. The only thing I can think of, being a non-expert, is that the cable running from the drive has a Mac DisplayPort connector on both ends and it's feeding into a DisplayPort to USB-C dongle.
Any ideas?

If I understand correctly, I don't think that is going to work. While it uses the same connector type, that connector is not really a DisplayPort connector (per se). By using a "DisplayPort to USB-C dongle", you are eliminated support for everything but a DisplayPort monitor.
That connector is actually a Thunderbolt 2 connector. I thus believe that what you really want is a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter. Here is an example: https://www.amazon.com/Apple-Thunderbolt-USB-C-Adapter/dp/B01MQ26QIY.
With this adapter and a Thunderbolt 2 cable (like this: https://www.amazon.com/Apple-Thunderbolt-cable-0-5-m/dp/B00WVDGZM6), in theory, you should be good to go.
Hope this helps,

I'll give those a shot. The cable and dongle I've been using work with Mac but it's possible I haven't been getting Thunderbolt speeds. Learning experience! Thanks Scott!

I have a basic understanding of this stuff, but I would not call myself an expert! Don't spend any money on hardware until you independently verify my assertions.
