I installed the touchpad driver for my laptop and now its not working anymore, the lock light is permanently on. I tried reinstalling windows even and nothing works. I installed the touchpad driver for then LAPQC71A.
In device manager i get I2C HID Device failed to start code (10)

From where did you get the driver? Provide the link.
What version of W10? 2004, 20H2?
Do you have the touch pad turned on?
I have some experience with this, and can tell you I have not seen any problems.

Do you have any button on your touch pad ? Some laptop have On/Off option for the touch pad. Just double tap on it ( at the upper corners ) and it will me enable the touch pad

same problem with me, after firmware update it does not work.
