Previously my UAD-2 connected and functioned on my NUC10FNH but with recent driver updates, it is no longer detected in Thunderbolt Control Center. I see the UAD2 driver in Device Manager. It has a "IsConnected" value of True. I don't know what has happened.

Hello cadrant
Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.
To get a better understanding, please share the following information:
- Can you identify which specific updates completed? Were they OS updates or others?
- Which BIOS version are you running?
- Did you change any of the physical components before this happened?
- Provide the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU)
- Download the Intel SSU https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-
- Open the application and select "Everything" click on "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel® SSU will take you to the "Summary View".
- Click on the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
- To save your scan, click on "Next", then "Save".

Hi,
I believe the BIOS version should be included in the scan txt I attached. I don't remember which revision but I updated my Thunderbolt driver in late Q4/early Q1. That is when the UAD connection failed.
No HW changes at that time.

Hello @cadrant
Thank you for the information. Please try the following steps:
- Update the BIOS to the latest version 0051.
- Install the USB Type C Power Delivery Controller for Windows® 10 64-bit for Intel® NUC.
- Install the latest Thunderbolt™ driver.
- Check the Thunderbolt option in BIOS:
Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
Go to Advanced > Devices > Onboard Devices.
Check that the Thunderbolt Controller is enabled.
Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup. - Test another Thunderbolt™ 3 cable. The length of the cable can also be a factor. Try one that's 60 cm or shorter.

Hi David,
I updated the BIOS to 0051, installed the USB-C Power Delivery Controller, and made sure that Thunderbolt was enabled in "Onboard Devices". I was already on the latest Thunderbolt driver. The device is still not recognized.
This device and its cables work on my Dell Laptop. It is a Coffee Lake.
It feels like this is a protocol error. The device acknowledges the HOST on my NUC. However, the Thunderbolt Control Center does not see it.
Thanks

Just a thought: I had a situation with symptoms similar to this. I found that there is a big difference between a device that is TBT cognizant and one that is native TBT. The cognizant device will continue to operate in USB mode and never transition to TBT mode. When I got a native TBT device, however, it made the transition and worked just fine.
I don't know if this applies to your case, but thought I would mention it,

Hi David,
Yes, I did see the previous post and responded. Despite the BIOS and SW updates, the device is not seen in the Thunderbolt Control Center. I am looking for next steps.
Thanks,
Courtney

We will need another Thunderbolt device so that we can test the connections and determine if it is a NUC or compatibility issue. If you have another TBT device available, please give it a try and let us know. We also recommend that you check with the manufacturer of this TBT device for additional troubleshooting steps, or verify that it is up to date.

David,
I had to switch to a personal account because it wasn't letting me login as an employee.
I have a Focusrite Clarett 8pre Thunderbolt that works with my Nuc. I have reached out to the manufacturer of the Uad2 but there suggestions were of little help.
I would like to try reverting back to the previous working driver. Is that possible? Do you have a list of driver revisions of this Thunderbolt controller and can I update to one?

The only driver available is the one on downloadcenter:
We're working on getting more information about future drivers or if we can get the versions that were previously available.

Hi David,
I have decided to move on. I bought a similar device that is native Thunderbolt 3 and it worked as expected. This may just be a compatibility issue between the UAD TB device and the TB3 controller.
