I've installed "Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS" successfully on new NUC8i7HNK box but its creating issue while boot. When I booted the NUC box it shown me pink screen and then black screen with disk info. I've updated NUC BIOS to latest version 50 (HN0050.bio), but still no luck. I've few query regarding this issue
1. can I use "Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS" with NUC8i7HNK?
2. can I use any "Ubuntu " OS with this box?
3. Which OS's have practical applicability ?
System config: NUC8i7HNK
RAM: 32 GB Hyperx Impact 16 *2 SO DIMM
SSD M.2: Samsung 500 GB 970 EVo

Hello vanand,
Thank you for posting on the Intel ® communities.
I can see that you are having booting issues with Ubuntu*.
First, I would like to mention that Intel ® has not validated the use of Ubuntu* with the NUC in question, for more information you can visit the following link:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005628/mini-pcs.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005628/mini-pcs.html
This does not mean that the O.S will not work with the system, it just hasn't been validated by Intel ®. You can always wait and see if other community members have had similar issues so they can give you advises or you can refer to the support forums of your Linux* distribution:

I hope this helps.

HI,
Thanks for replying on my issue. I'm also hoping some of person share his/her experience with Ubuntu 18.04 on this NUC device. How they have overcome from this issue. I've already gone through number of posts and documents stating its not certified by Intel for NUC device but many friends have successfully done this. I just wanted to know more regarding its related setup to avoid such Booting issue.
Thanks...
