Using "QuickAssist Software Acceleration" on Intel NUC 12 Pro

I purchased Intel NUC 12 Pro Kit NUC12WSHi5 that uses Core i5-1240P, as it is stated on ark.intel.com that the CPU supports "Intel® QuickAssist Software Acceleration".

Doing some research, it seems to me that QuickAssist Software Acceleration is a software implementation of the Intel QAT Engine (see https://github.com/intel/QAT_Engine/blob/master/docs/software_requirements.md).

Fine.

However, when I build the library following the instructions and try to run it, it complains that the CPU is not supported:
> Processor unsupported for QAT_SW - AVX512F = 0, VAES = 1, VPCLMULQDQ = 1

What should I do to use QuickAssit Software Acceleration?

Any help is welcome. Thank you in advance.

Hello km9,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

To have a better understanding of your issue, please provide me with the following:

  • Please, provide us with a screenshot of the error message you receive.
  • Also, I noticed that the article you shared mentions Linux Operating Systems (OS). Are you using a Linux OS? If so, which OS flavor and kernel version are you using?
