VIASAT REACH data Clarification-163070

Dear Team,

Greetings!!!

For part no BXNUC10I7FNHAA1 MDDS document  has conflicting data in regards to REACH regulation. REACH SVHC  is above limit according to document. However calculated PPM with respect to substance weight and Product Mass '1.45 kg' is less than 1000PPM which is conflicting.

Also for below parts MDDS document does not have REACH data available in the document

Hello SMude, I just received an update on this matter.

1). Article is defined by the RoHS regulation as parts of a product that the shape dictates more of its function than what it is made of. Therefore, the mass percent calculation is based on the article weight, not the total product weight. In other words for these 5 substances total products mass (1450g) shouldn’t be used in PPM calculations.

2). The Document does declare EU RoHS compliant.

REACH SVHCs are all listed in the MDDS as well. Unlike RoHS, REACH only requires declarations of REACH SVHC and we have done so in the MDDS.
