What is the correct syntax / structure when creating an UEFI HTTP boot option within the UEFI Boot Manager ?

“bcfg boot add 6 \EFI\tools\shellx64.efi “EDKII-Shell” will sucessfully add a new Boot Manager entry.

Yet,

“bcfg boot add 7 PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x13,0x2)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/MAC(1234567890AB,0x0)/IPv4(0.0.0.0,0,DHCP,0.0.0.0,0.0.0.0,0.0.0.0)/Uri()”

or

“bcfg boot add 8 PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x13,0x2)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/MAC(1234567890AB,0x0)/IPv6(::/128,0,Static,::/128,::/128,0)/Uri()”

will fail.

Hi Ping, See below the answer I got from the Internal Team, it is not very different from what it is already out there on the tianocore gitbub web site: "HTTP(S) Boot is already supported by current EFI network stack in edk2/master. You could refer to this Wiki page (https://github.com/tianocore/tianocore.github.io/wiki/HTTP-Boot) and whitepaper “EDK II HTTP Boot Getting Started Guide” (https://legacy.gitbook.com/book/edk2-docs/getting-started-guide-of-edk-ii-http-boot/details) for more details. The white paper contains a step by step guide for UEFI HTTP Boot enabling and test server configuration. You could refer the section “ENABLE HTTP BOOT FOR YOUR SYSTEM” in whitepaper to add HTTP Boot drivers to the NUC platform." I dont support EDK II so I would recommend that you contact Laurie directly. I am really sorry for not being able to provide you with further assistance on this issue. Regards. Ronny G
