newco,

You can find a lot of information on the Intel® Server System S7000FC4UR on the http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/server/s7000fc4ur. product support website.

The S7000FC4UR utilizes an optional SAS Riser Board which natively supports Integrated RAID levels 0, 1, and 1E. If an optional Intel® RAID Activation Key and DDR2-667 registered DIMM are installed, hardware RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 are enabled. See the http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s7000fc4ur/sb/d93989002_s7000fc4ur_productguid... Product Guide for more information.

The http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s7000fc4ur/sb/CS-028210.htm Specification Update lists accessory parts numbers for the S7000FC4UR.

There are compatible RAID controllers you can use. See the S7000FC4UR http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s7000fc4ur/sb/CS-028219.htm Tested hardware list.

Intel announced https://qdms.intel.com/Portal/SearchPCNDataBase.aspx?mm=899977 Product Discontinuance for the S7000FC4UR February 01, 2010. Product Discontinuance means that the System and accessories are no longer manufactured by Intel.

Good Luck,

John
