Why cant I turn on xmp profile?

hi i have a intel nuc 7i7bnh and i have ballistix 8gb gaming ram that ive added and in my bios i try and turn it onto the xmp profile for the ram and everytime i save the setting and try to boot with the setting the nuc goes into a constant reboot process then im prompted to revert my setting back to standard. so im wondering if this nuc doesnt support xmp profile on ram i also have a intel nuc 6i3syh that has no problem with this ram and the profile. my bios are fully updated i defaulted all my setting then played with them a bit to try and figure it out but still no luck so im wondering if anyone has any information to what may be my issue here ?

This Intel® NUC is not intended for overclocking. To give you a few examples, the following Intel® NUC products support overclocking: Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i7HVK, Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i7HNK, and Intel® NUC Kit NUC6i7KYK.

In this scenario, our recommendation is that you run the unit under the design specifications.

It is not that the BN NUCs don't support XMP, it's that they just don't do well with their memory buses overclocked - and let's be clear, this *is* overclocking that you are attempting.

What is the part number for the SODIMM(s)?

What was the XMP profile that you tried to use?

If your SODIMM(s) support multiple XMP profiles, try using a lower (slower) one.

I understand i just didnt think id have this issue when it wasnt one with a earlier model the memory is ballistix 8GB 2666mhz and as far as the part number im not exactly sure without opening it up and i cant quite do that this second but the xmp profile it has is only one xmp-2667 and the only other one is Automatic ddr4-2666 sodimm 1.2v

The link that WannerG shared states that higher memory modules can be installed (for instance, 2400MHz) but "but because the processor only supports speeds up to 2133 MHz, higher-speed SO-DIMMs operate only at the 2133 MHz memory timing"
