Will my NUC7i3BNH accept 12VDC power supply?

I will be using a NUC7i3BNH on a sailing boat. The power supply will be a 24V battery bank. I have a 24VDC to 12VDC 20A converter/regulator and I am wondering if I can hook the computer to that converter. This way it will be getting 12-12.2VDC.

I have read in the specifications that the computer accepts 12-19VDC. I would just like a confirmation that 12VDC can power the computer normally.

In addition I am also wondering how small fluctuations in the voltage can affect the computer.

It should work just fine, provided the voltage remains clean (doesn't droop) and the current meets the requirements as well. The Car Computer sites are all recommending the use of DC-DC Buck Converters; the "standard" one being recommended for NUCs is available here: http://www.mini-box.com/DCDC-NUC.
