I enabled dark mode in Settings > Personalization > Colors
And it works as I would expect for most OS things.
But for some reason, File Explorer gloriously refuses to turn black. It's as white as ever, even after reboot etc.
I can't find anything on Google about this, so that's why I am posting here. I thought it might somehow be weirdly NUC specific.... but that sounds weird as well
Anyone else have dark mode enabled but File Explorer refusing to play ball?
Cheers,
Lee

Specify the exact version and build of your OS.
Also, this is a known Microsoft issue, from what I can determine.

And, I am willing to wager that you are running 1809.
If so, look here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-start-win_general/windows-10-1809-dark-... Windows 10 1809 Dark mode - Microsoft Community

I don't seem able to update to 1809 - when I go to Windows update, it just says "You're up to date."

There appear to be a few "minor" issues with 1809. Aside from deleting users files, there are several hundred other bugs, such that Microsoft withdrew 1809 only a couple of days after they posted it. That was in early October. Now, approaching mid-November, the re-release has not happened.

Yes, a new standard for "sense":
- Common Sense
- No Sense
- Nonsense
- Senseless
- Microsoft Sense
Think it will catch on?
