I'm trying to install Windows 7 on NUC5CPYH. This NUC has USB2 ports (internal) - I connected my keyboard and mouse to these ports. They work in bios, however they stop working during Windows 7 installation.
I know about "Windows 7 USB 3.0 Creator Utility", but it's only required for "NUC products that have only USB 3.0 ports". I don't have second computer, so I'm unable to use this utility.
Is where any other way I can install Windows 7? Why USB2 ports stop working?
Actually, while the internal ports are USB2, they are connected through an internal USB3 hub and thus you need the USB3 drivers installed into your boot image in order to complete the install. Bottom line, you will need to find another PC on which to run the Windows 7 USB 3.0 Creator Utility and update an installation image.
