bios update fails on NUC9 extreme LAPTOP kit LAPQC71 QCCFL357

Attempting to update BIOS from version 0004 to version 0156. using the Windows .exe file. Get a dos box that says unable to read driver. Update fail. Suggestions?

You must use the BIOS Recovery process to make a jump this large.
