Hello,

  • first happy new year 2021

currently 04/01/2021
I have an intel brand a NUC a NUC6i5SYB (small height)
with 8 gigabytes of ram
a CRUCIAL disc of 1 tera
model CT1000MX500SSD4 1TB
Drive type: 1TB M.2 / 2280 SSD
Disc Format: M.2 / 2280

I'm looking for an upgarde to brand intel model NUC a NUC 10 th generation in icore 7
a model NUC10i7FNH2
with
as a Windows 10 pro 64-bit operating system that I would install and activate myself
.
like RAM
32 giga 1 slot
to then switch to 2 x 32 giga
.
as ssd disk
I do not really know in any case a 2 tera to do multi boot
so several 3 Windows partitions that I need plus the data
so 2 choices that I saw there may be others?
1)
Crucial P5 2 tera 2000GB PCIe M.2 2280SS SSD CT2000P5SSD8 drive
https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0892TWDP1/ref=asc_df_B0892TWDP11609329600000
332 euro on January 03, 2021
or
2)
The CORSAIR Force MP600 M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD
Force Series Gen.4 PCIe MP600 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD
https://www.corsair.com/fr/fr/Cat%C3%A9gories/Produits/Stockage/SSD-M-2/Force-Series%E2%84%A2-Gen-4-PCIe-NVMe-M- 2-SSD / p / CSSD-F2000GBMP600 # tab-overview
model SKU CSSD-F2000GBMP600
with integrated high performance radiator
€ 409.99

Questions ?
========
a) can we go up given the price of the SSD a 2.5 cm ou 20 mm protective radiator above
the type of this one?
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07WPY7N1F/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1U1LUI1JKC2DF&psc=1
is this compatible with a m2 2280 ssd? especially with NUC ??? in height ????
especially in height in a high-format NUC in height
but limit by adding a classic 2.5 inch HDD ???

b) what is the difference between the 2 models NUC10i7FNH and NUC10i7FNH2 at 50 euro difference ???

c) do we have to wait for the release of the 11th generation of NUC ???
when will they be released in 2021?

Thank you for your answers

happy new year 2021 and best wishes
cordially
regards

Eric

I addressed portions of these questions in the other conversation that you started (here: https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-NUCs/manufacturing-and-design-defect-on-all-NUCs-or-obsolescence/m-p/1242931/highlight/false#M79630), but will summarize it as follows:

  1. You cannot use any M.2 SSD in the NUCs that has an attached heatsink (or radiator). You can use one that has a thin heat spreader, however.
  2. Order code NUC10i7FNH is used to purchase a kit that does not include a power cord. Order code NUC10i7FNH2 is used to purchase a kit that includes a European power cord. See these web pages for more information: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000031273/intel-nuc.html and https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005804/intel-nuc.html
  3. We cannot here provide you with any information regarding the availability of the 11th gen NUCs. All NUCs are sold through the retail distribution channels. Intel has no control over the rate at which NUCs will flow through these channels. Bottom line, for availability information, you need to contact your local storefront or country-specific distributor(s) for availability information.
