can i replace my ac3168 wifi bt interface with a ac9260 running win 10 64bit intel i7 7th gen?

Provided this isn't an OEM version of the AC3168, yes, you should be able to upgrade to the AX9260. Personally, however, I would be replacing it with an AX200 (WiFi6) or an AX210 (WiFi6e) card.

If I may interrupt here, the best practice for your query is to consult the motherboard manufacturer and check if the ac9260 is listed on the wireless cards compatibility list, as well as steps for the proper installation of the wireless card. Not all systems are capable and compatible to work with all wireless cards, and only the system manufacturers will have more control and understanding of their system capability.
