Please tell me what you need and I will supply. 1 of the 2 drives went bad and I simply replaced it. It’s RAID 1 so I wouldn’t lose data. After I replaced the hard drive the system runs but it does not recognize the new HD. The BIOS shows the 2 drives but Disk management does not.

First of all, please download and run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows and save the report to a file. Then, using the paperclip icon below the edit window, upload and attach this file to a response post.

Second, explain step-by-step what you have seen and done, starting from "My RAID array was working fine...".

I got a message that a HD was bad, so I replaced it with like-kind from WD. I removed bad unit and inserted new unit. At that point I noticed that even though the BIOS shows 2 HD W10 does not. I was set up for RAID 1 to allow for data safekeeping. I have attached the report that you asked for. Marty

Did you remove the failing unit from the array? Did you add the replacement unit to the array? Sounds like, no, since it is sitting independently right now.

You are correct, I have done neither since I’m not sure how to do that and I don’t want to lose the data on the the drive that W10 recognizes. Can you walk me through how to finish this project?

You do the same thing that I would have to do to tell you the answer, namely open the manual and read it: Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) User's Guide.

If you've read the manual, you can hang around and help other people!
