is Intel going to support NUC wireless adapter for windows server 2016?

Jump to solution

Is there a hope we are going to get support Windows Server 2016 for the Wi-Fi adapter in the Intel NUC (have NUC7i7BNB) ?

At one point I had it working, but had to rebuild my Windows Server 2016, and now I can not see or access the wireless driver.

Please help, will be nice to have wireless access. I have my Blue Tooth working with Gig E, but not WI-FI.

Have you tried this driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27385/Intel-Wireless-Technology-Based-Driver-for-Windows-S... Download Intel® Wireless Technology-Based Driver for Windows Server 2016* for Intel® NUC Kit NUC7i3DN and NUC7i5DN?

Hello StefanoG

Thank you for contacting Intel Technical Support,

I received your inquiry and I understand that you are having problems with the wireless adapter. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may be causing. I will be more than happy looking for a solution.

I seem that Windows® server 2016 worked well with the inbox drivers of the operating system once the rebuild was performed the drivers stop being compatible, as you can see on the following link the operating system supported on for the unit is Windows® 10 64bit

INTEL this is a plain vanilla answer.

It will be nice if you guys colllect feedback and help create an even better tool.

Currentry using it for virtualization and security firewall services tool.

Works great, but it will be better if INTEL helps...

Actually, the thing that needs to happen is for Microsoft to support one set of drivers for all of their O/S versions.

No problem. If you work at it long enough, you too can become skillful searching for things in the Download Center...
