is nuc10i3fnk able to use a egpu?

Hi I have a nuc10i3fnk I was looking at putting together a diy egpu. haven't bought anything mainly been just watching videos and reading stuff.  anyone currently using a egpu? any drawbacks other than the somewhere around 30% drop in performance compared to a regular full sized ports? a good diy egpu video or thread? thanks!
