does a rough time schedule exist for the next BIOS-update of the NUC5PPYH-series, especially one that mitigates Meltdown/Spectre-related vulnerabilities?
I've been looking on Intel's website 2 times a week since early january and would like to learn when it is expected to come (approximately).
Many thanks for your response in advance,
Kind regards, Martin
The issues (spontaneous reboots, etc.) identified in the Spectre mitigation modifications made to the processor microcode have caused Intel to pull back the already-released microcode and to reset their delivery schedule. The schedule for the delivery of updated BIOS releases for the NUC products will be announced once validation of the new modifications to the microcode is complete. The schedule, once established, will be published on this page: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000026620/mini-pcs.html Intel-SA-00088 for Intel® NUC, Intel® Compute Stick, and Intel®....
