nuc10i5 ddr4 profiles for ballistix

Hey all - would like to get my 10th gen nuc i5 to properly use the XMP-2666 profile that is on the ballistix so-dimm.  the bios is grabbing the JEDEC profile for 2400 when there is also an XMP profile for 2666 with CL=16 at 1.200V. BIOS mod coming to properly grab max perf timings out of the EEPROM (or enable end-user override)?

TIA

Intel only supports XMP profiles on the very high-end, larger form factor NUC models (Hades Canyon, for example). In the standard NUC 4x4 inch (100x100 mm) UCFF, because of the limited space available for the cooling solution, the decision was made to not support any capabilities or configurations that go beyond what the cooling solution was designed and validated to support. XMP memory profiles - which are technically a form of overclocking - was one of the capabilities not supported.

Hello tony31,

Thank you for posting on the Intel* Community.

To better assist you, please provide us with the below information:

  • Are you doing the changes on the BIOS? If so please provide pictures of the BIOS settings you are changing or the tool you are using.
  • If possible more specific steps of the changes and profiles.

Provide the SSU report:

Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU)

Thank you @Maria_R_Intel .

In the latest BIOS there is no ability to force a memory profile, it is read-only.  It would be nice if we could have an Advanced mode to do that like other companies do.

I have attached the SSU and screenshots from various tools demonstrating that the BIOS is not correctly loading/determining the best memory timing for the Ballistix product.
