nuc7I7bnkq has a sata port, but bios says sata port unavailable and doesn't work

I want to add a SSD to the sata port on the motherboard, but it doesn't work and the bios says sata port unavailable.  Is there a hardware or bios that can activate the port?

Have you tried it with BIOS set to defaults? Use F2 to enter BIOS Setup, then use F9 to reset configuration and F10 to save it and exit.

You have a K version of the BN NUC which is the slim version of the chassis, so no SATA data/power cable is included. You need to make sure you have the correct combo cable for use on this NUC. You can't plug just any power cable in and get it to work.

Check this out:
