Hello.

Nuc7i5bnh + m2 kingspec 256gb + 1 slot 16gb ddr4 sodimm 2133MHz puskill ram (tested with memtest and windows 10 memory diagnostic tool, no problems).
Clean windows 10 2004 + updated latest drivers from microsoft and intel + updated latest bios with f9 defaults.
Opened only 1 chrome and periodically freezes with no aportunity to ctrl+alt+delete or mouse clicking etc.
Tried max/balanced performance - similar problem.

No idea...

Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows and save the report to a file. Then, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box, upload and attach this file to a response post.

The only obvious thing that I am seeing in the report is that the Intel Bluetooth driver package does not seem to be installed. It should be installed with the corresponding Wireless driver package. Here are links for both:

Have you installed the Intel Chipset Device Software package? This is NOT updated by the Intel Driver and Support Assistant (IDSA). You can download it from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26801/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-for-NUC7i3BN-NUC7i5BN-NUC7i7BN.

I have never heard of KingSpec before. Based on datasheets, you could have done better. An overheating SSD will throttle itself, causing odd looking delays in the O/S. I have similarly not dealt with PUSkill DRAM either (but note that 2x 8GB would have performed significantly better - double the performance, in fact - than the 1x 16GB).

What diagnostics have you run? Have you run the Intel Processor Diagnostic tool? You can download it here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792. Have you run MemTest86+ or something similarly sophisticated (the test included in Windows 10 isn't good enough)?

Hope this helps,

first of all i was trying this https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000024677/intel-nuc/intel-nuc-kits.html

and i thought that i'm won but it's helped for 10 hours only.

now installed both bt and wireless drivers, chipset drivers.

kingspec m2 ssd is very popular on aliexpress. i have its brother 128gb m2 ssd on nuc5i5ryh without any problem.

about memory the 2nd 16gb puskill ram on the way to me. so 32gb for oracle virtualbox. and yes i checked it by memtest86+ about 5 hours without any errors

new ssu attached and cpu test results.

so i will test my nuc after new drivers installation. see you thnx a lot

You didn't say: Are you still seeing hangs after these changes? If so, exactly what were you doing when the hang occurred?

Sigh! Ok, I am not sure what to think.

When it hangs, what happens if you just leave it sitting there for an hour or two? Does it, after some amount of time, spontaneously reboot on its own? If this is the case, I would say with high confidence that there is something going wrong with one of the SODIMM(s) (i.e. memory bus is locking up and Watchdog Timer is eventually resetting the system). While you wouldn't expect this to happen if MemTest86+ runs for hours without issue, but I have seen this happen a few times.

If, on the other hand, the lockup simply stays a lockup, I would be more inclined to point the hairy finger at one of the device drivers. While I would have to say that this is most often seen with the graphics driver, I have seen hangs as a result of audio issues (I don't mean HDMI- or DisplayPort-based audio; I am talking the RealTek driver).

Now i just start windows 10, open chrome,  go to time100.ru and waiting.

Today i turned off Turbo Boost option in bios and freezes become less often about 10-12 hours.

Similar don't know what to do...

I can only suggest that you try replacing this memory.

So where i can find any useful information in logs to know that it is exactly because of ram?

If it's because of memory bus hangs, all you will see are Windows eventlog entries indicating unexpected reboot (power cycle).

Hello subora,

this mishap also happened to my NUC7i5BNH periodically.

But today, the NUC refused to boot, as if there was no disk inside...

When opened, I discovered that the jacket of the SATA data cable was cut (see image).

Unfortunately, the reference for the cable cannot be found on the Intel support site, just the one for another NUC (the link between the mother board and the SATA disk has apparently been redesigned)...

Try to find a replacement for the faulty cable, and I think the NUC would run smoothly.

Sometimes, it is just about hardware design, not CPU or software flaws....

Good luck!

Wow, you should have felt cable pinch as you closed up the case. It would have taken a lot of pressure to do that.

[Edit: Replacement cable assembly can be purchased for US$9 through Micro SATA Cables (see here: https://www.microsatacables.com/intel-nuc-ssd-internal-22-pin-sata-replacement-cable-harness-intl-1089-22pd).

He is a screenshot of a performance monitor. Just press start in the system diagnostics. Any relative information can be found in the system reports. Cheers.
