power on nuc without pressing the power button

Jump to solution

I have a NUC desktop NUC7i7BNKQ.

After plugging the power cord, how to power on the nuc without pressing the power button ? Is there a bios configuration for this usecase ?

Thanks,

Shabbir

Yes, you can set it up to do this. You need to go into BIOS Setup (the Visual BIOS program) to set this up. During BIOS POST, press the F2 key to enter BIOS Setup. Click on Advanced and then Power. Then, in the Secondary Power Settings window on the right-hand side of the screen,

  • Set parameter After Power Failure to Power On.
  • Uncheck (disable) parameter Deep Sleep.

If you would also like to wake it up using keyboard or mouse,

  • Check (enable) parameter USB S4/S5 Power. Note: You may have to scroll down to see this parameter.
  • Check (enable) parameter Wake on USB from S5.

Hope this helps,
