Found my NUC with Proxmox installed in unresponsive state today (first time ever after 2 weeks of use and could be unrelated).

On reboot see these errors:
mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 0: Machine Check: 0 Bank 6: xxx
mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 0 ADDR fef1ce80 MISC xxx
mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:a0660 TIME xxx SOCKET 0
APIC 0 microcode ca

The box booted and seems normal so far but see those errors on boot
Quick memory test did not show any problems so far.

rasdaemon -f, journalctl -f show no obvious problems.

I run Intel NUC 7 BXNUC10i7FNH
Here is my CPU info https://pastebin.com/MpXedi1h

Anybody had experience with such errors ? Bad RAM, motherboard ?
Can it be benign?

Thx in advance!

Hello YWein2,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

We understand that you are experiencing some error messages on boot with your Intel® NUC10i7FNH using Proxmox*.

I need to inform you that Intel has not tested and validated this Intel NUC model with any Linux distribution; however, we have plenty of positive reports from customers that are using the unit successfully on many different Linux distros.

You can check the Intel Compatibility Tool for the NUC model in case you are interested.

With that being said, for the behavior that you are experiencing I would strongly recommend check your Linux distribution website and forums here for peer assistance with this issue.

Hello YWein2,

Thank you for your response.

We noticed that currently you are getting Intel Support in another channel, we will continue with the support in that channel.

On our side, as previously stated we highly recommend to check and get support from our Linux* distribution and hopefully they will be able to provide recommendations and identify the issue.

With that being said, If you need any additional information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer being monitored.
