Hi I have two external buttons to turn on my nuc but for some reason they dont work sometimes. when I go to turn my nuc on with either button I can see the ethernet adapter's activity light flicker one time meaning its not the switch.(*I also checked if they were defective with other computers and they work fine) I have sleep hibernate and wake on lan off. None of them work. wake on lan never works at all hibernate and sleep work like 3 out of 5 times. it doesn't matter about the driver. the "old driver" and the "most recent driver" don't fix the sleep/hibernate/ect. when it doesn't work the screen will just stay black. I don't use sleep or hibernate at all anymore. the only thing I have is to turn it off. someone able tell me why the button sometimes will not turn the nuc on? (* im checking if power cycling for more than a minute does anything.)

I am not surprised by this inconsistency. Both of these switches have ATX-standard 2.54mm pin spacing, whereas the pins on the NUC boards are reduced-size 2mm versions. You could try using a conversion cable like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LSW184G.
Hope this helps,
