using intel NUC dn2820fyk without case

Hello. I wanted to use intel NUC DN2820FYK 

in eurobot competition, but there is a weight restrictions. Therefore I'm thinkng to remove a case that weights almost half of overall, and I wanted to know : can I remove the case and what problems I would probably struggle? I see that wifi-module is attached to the case with metal conductor (I leave picture here). So would I have a connection problems without the metal case and which solution you may suggest if so?

Running the board outside of the chassis is no issue. If you want to also use wireless, I suggest you replace the antennas; the internal antennas are not meant to be used detached from the chassis. Alternatively, you can use a kit like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GMBUS8O.
