Hi eanto3,
Thank you for the information.
According to the following list, only processors up to Gen 8th are supported, so it may be possible that the issue is because of your Gen 9th processor. Anyhow, please contact ASUS* to confirm if the Intel® Optane™ Memory works with Gen 9th processors in your motherboard model, or if it’s needed to update the BIOS to an specific version or to use any specific RST driver version: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000026040/memory-and-storage/intel-optane-memory.html
The latest RST driver version for the Intel® Optane™ Memory is available here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28411/Intel-Optane-Memory-User-Interface-and-Driver-for-System-Acceleration?product=99745. This is the 16.8.0.1000 version but it may be possible that ASUS* has a newer customized driver version.
There is another option which is the Intel® RST application. You may try to install this tool instead of the Intel® Optane™ application just to check if the same error is gotten: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28413/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-User-Interface-and-Driver?product=99745
Anyhow, please contact ASUS* to confirm if there is any specific detail around the Gen 9th processor and/or the motherboard that should be considered to setup the module correctly. This thread will be kept open for you so that you can share your updates from ASUS* here.
I’ll be waiting for your response.
Have a nice day.

Hi eanto3,
Thank you for posting in the Intel® communities.
From previous threads, the error code 0xA0050055 is related to some kind of compatibility issue between the system and the module.
Have you confirmed that your system is compatible with the Intel® Optane™ Memory? If it is, then it may be possible that you require to update the BIOS version first.
Could you please download the Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) from the following site and run the full report to collect your system details? The tool will export the information in a text file, please attach that file in your response: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-
Have a nice day.

Diego V.
