config: Dell Inspiron 5570, core i5, 16 G RAM, 1 TB

I found a similar issue on the FORUMS and I ran the SSU referred to and no errors were found.  Report attached.

I would disable the optane, reboot, enable the optane, reboot, and see if pinning is now available.

If that doesn't work, follow this process:

  1. Disable Optane.
  2. Uninstall the Optane software package
  3. Reboot
  4. Install the Optane package again (use later version if available)
  5. Reboot
  6. Enable Optane.

Hope his helps,

...S

Hi- Thanks so much for checking. Before I could apply the instructions, I had to update my Win10 OS. After that update, the error code disappeared. So I’m all set now. Best regards, Sue

WIN 10 - PRO - I am a novice and I need more detailed help with this problem. Microsoft Support said to not worry about it because it in not needed.

I tried the instructions above (both of them), but it only allows modify or uninstall. It then says the installation source is unavailable..

Is there anyway to stop the pop ups or correct the problem?

As you see from my update above, when MS required a restart and update to my Win10 PC, that somehow fixed the problem. That's the easiest to do for you to start with. If that doesn't work, see the instructions above this that DavidV gave and try those.Good luck.
