Why does enabling Intel Optane cause right clicking files to freeze my computer?

I downloaded the recent update for the Intel Optane drivers, soon after whenever I right click on any file my computer freezes and has to refresh the desktop. In the end I had to disable intel optane...

Download, run, and save the results of this utility as a text file:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

 

Then ATTACH the text file (using the paperclip under the toolbar).
