IMG_1586.PNG1000003932.PNG

Hi royfey,

Greetings!

Thank you for reaching out to Intel Community!

Please be informed that I can only support you in English and there is no Japanese language support for community threads. I have used a web translation tool to translate this response hence, there may be some inaccurate translation.

You can unlock a password-protected disk by entering the password, which allows you to access data or use that disk to create a volume.

The password is set up through the system BIOS. Locked disks can be identified with the lock icon appended to them and display a Locked status in the disk properties.

In this state, the overall storage system health is still reported as normal, but we recommend that you unlock the disks to make the volume data fully accessible.

Follow these procedures to unlock a disk through the BIOS:

1) Click Unlock.

2) Enter the password and click Unlock.

3) Repeat this procedure for all locked disks included in the volume in order to unlock the volume.

NOTE: The above steps should be performed in the BIOS. For specific instructions and BIOS settings contact the system manufacturer, in your case it is HP. In case you don't have a needed password to unlock the drive, contact the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of your drive in order to obtain the key.

Below will be the steps to mark any drives that you would like to mark it as spare.

1) Press Windows* key+r keys to open Run Dialog.

2) Type diskpart and press OK.

3) Press Yes on the User Account Control prompt.

4) Type list disk.. Notice the * beside any disk you wish to select in the GPT column.

5) Select the disk to be uninitialized by typing select disk <number>.

6) Type clean.

7) Type list disk. Notice the * is no longer there.

Repeat for any additional disks.

9) Proceed to mark as spare any drives you wish in the application.

NOTE: In the Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management application, none of the disks selected to be a spare can contain any data. Remaining data must be removed to continue.

Hello Amina

I checked the BIOS settings. There was a password setting for the BIOS itself, but there was no lock setting for the HDD only.

No BIOS changes.

next,The same thing happened when I replaced the slave HDD with another new one.

Currently, the master HDD is on SATA0, the CD drive is on SATA1(ZPODD), and the slave HDD is on SATA2.

next,Changed this to SATA0 for the master HDD, SATA2 (ZPODD) for the CD drive, and SATA1 for the slave HDD.

When I booted up in this state, the HDD lock indication disappeared and the RAID1 configuration was completed.

Thank you for all your help.
