System is a NUC 5i3RYK
Boots CDROM with FUT just fine.
FUT barfs immediately after giving permission to start firmware update with "The firmware update process cannot be completed in Windows or Linux for this firmware. Please use the Intel SSD Firmware Update Tool."
Catch 22!
Okay, where are they hiding the REAL FUT for 540s?
Thanks muchly,
Neal

Josh,
Thanks for the quick response.
I downloaded the .iso and ran FUT 3.0.9. After about a minute it said "Firmware update failed.".
It did however manage to change the firmware version number:
Original LSBG100
3.0.9 version LSF042C
After FUT LSB042C
Trying to run either 3.0.9 or 3.0.10 again results in the message "The selected Intel SSD contains current firmware as of this tool release."
The drive appears to function normally.
Should I be concerned about the version number discrepancy?
Regards,
Neal
