Hi gabrielnavarro,
Thank you for posting in the Intel communities.
According to the system requirements of the Intel® Optane™ SSD 905P Series, there is no restriction on the processor used, however we have not tested nor validated the use and performance of the drive with third party processors. Having said this, I'd recommend you to contact AMD* to get a comfirmation about the compatibility of the drive.
On the other hand, it looks like that motherboard will work with the drive, but considering the fact that it has been designed and optimized to work with this AMD* processor, I'd also contact ASUS* about this concern so that they can confirm you if the drive will work.
Among the system requirements, the most important ones are a PCIe 3.0 x4 connector available and a system BIOS that supports UEFI 2.3.1 or later with NVMe support. You can check the full requirements in this site: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000028298/memory-and-storage.html
I checked the motherboard's specification in the following site, but I couldn't confirm if the BIOS supports the UEFI version required: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-ZENITH-EXTREME/specifications/
For more detailed information, you can submit your concern in the following AMD* site: https://www.amd.com/en/support or you can contact ASUS* support through the following form: https://www.asus.com/support/Product/ContactUs/Services/questionform/?lang=en-US
I hopes this information helps you.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Diego V.
