hi, sorry for posting here, but this was the only forum that i could find. maybe the moderators could move it to the right place.

started the ai course and am getting the error below.

it probably found an old uninstalled folder where visual studio once lived.

thanks

CALL "D:\dev\visualstudio\Common7\Tools\..\..\VC\vcvarsall.bat" amd64
The system cannot find the path specified.

Hi Tayek,

Are you referring to Intel® Edge AI Scholarship Program in Udacity? (https://www.udacity.com/scholarships/intel-edge-ai-scholarship). If so we are sorry to inform you that it is out of our support scope.

However we can keep this thread as open so that the community may help you.

it is the ec to edge course (like:https://github.com/surajdurgesht/DC-to-Edge-Course), but it may not be that particular program.

i just submitted a request somewhere and got a link in an email which i have deleted :)

i did find the other forums.

thanks

Hi Tayek,

The Intel DC to Edge course does not have any Visual Studio dependency !!

You can find the original DC to Edge course at https://software.seek.intel.com/DataCenter_to_Edge_REG

Please follow the course and let us know in case of any issues.

i am using the stuff at this link.

i did:

conda update conda
conda env create -f environment.yml

and it seemed to work.

i am trying to do a: conda activate tf_training,

but i get a error:

D:\ray\dev\ml\DC to Edge Course>for /F "skip=2 tokens=2,*" %A in ('reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0" /v InstallDir') do SET "VSINSTALLDIR=%B"
ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value.

please see the attached log file.

there sees to be a bunch of junk at the top when i look at a preview:

Hi Tayek, Ray

The intel DC to edge course has no dependency with visual studio. The error looks more like an issue with the environment variables of your machine. As an alternative you can try the course in linux by signing up for intel devcloud.

You can signup for devcloud using the below link
