I have been trying to download the Quartus prime lite software for the last week but having no success, does Intel still support FPGA development ? As it stands it is impossible to download the software, I will give it another go if Intel can deign themselves to reply, otherwise I will move over to Xilinx.

Are you downloading the software from the webpage below? It seems to work fine for me and I am able to start download it.
https://fpgasoftware.intel.com/?edition=lite
May I know what you meant by "impossible to download the software"? Could you help to further describe on this? If you see any error message, please help to share a screenshot.
You may try to troubleshoot based on the suggestions below:
- Ensure that you have login with your Intel Account before download the software. Might be login issue.
- Try using Chrome incognito mode. If it works, disable the extensions temporarily (you could use chrome://extensions/ on the Chrome address bar) and re-enable them one at a time to determine which extension is misbehaving.
- Clear, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome. (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647?hl=en)
- Reset Chrome settings to default.
(https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en&vid=0-398330116934-1501864883878) - Switch internet browsers or computer.
- Reset/using other internet network.

Richard Tan

OK, I'm logged in and clicked , down arrow to download software, but nothing happens, no message, no progress or anything to indicate success. Anyway I have now moved my project over to Xilinx so don't really need it now.
REgards
Nick
PS incognito, disable services ? why does your software need so much attention just to download it. Just a thought.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Fyi, all those steps provided is for troubleshoot purposes, not an actual flow to download the software. From my own experience using my own personal PC, Window 10 OS, Google Chrome (normal mode), after login into my personal gmail account, I could start to download it by clicking the download arrow.
I guess it may differ from user to user, sometime even an antivirus program may block the download. Not sure what goes wrong for your case.
Since you will be using other party software and would not require my assistance on this issue, I will now transition this thread to community support. If you have a new question, feel free to open a new thread to get the support from Intel experts. Otherwise, the community users will continue to help you on this thread. Thank you.
Best Regards,
Shyan Yew (Richard)

Hi Nick,
I just remembered there is a workaround to download the software though it may require some trial and error to get the correct URL link.
Copy the URL link and paste it in your web browser. Perhaps this may help.

Thanks Richard,
I tried the chrome dev tools trick and commented out the tracker code, that seemed and was able to download the files, nut having them listed here for one of the version is really useful.
Will intel fix the problem on the webpage. if you can't, maybe a note on the page explaining the workaround would work for people.
Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick,
Great to hear that you have the files up and running!
Would to confirm with you on this: when you mention that you used the chrome dev tools trick, does that mean you comment out line 36 of common.js (from the reddit post)? After that, you are able to download the files by clicking the down button in the Intel FPGA Download Page? With you login into your account.
Do I understand correctly? If not, could you help to further explain on this? So I could better feedback to the team in fixing this.

Hi Arjun,
Follow the instruction in this link:
https://www.reddit.com/r/FPGA/comments/igmbcd/intel_quartus_download_link_broken/
once you save the changes you can then download the files (need to be logged in of course) Bear in mind if you refresh or reload the page it wont work.

Hi Nick,
Need some help from you. Could you help to share the screenshot on what is shown in the webpage when you open the Chrome dev tools? Possible to add a screenshot on the exact comment line that you have changed? This is for the engineer team to analyze the issue.
Example below should be good enough.
Thank you in advance for the help.

I am just now trying to download the Quartus Lite software for windows and nothing seems to work. I've tried 3 different browsers, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. All have the same result, the "Legal Disclaimer" pops up and then nothing. All versions seem to have the same issue except for the most recent which doesn't even pop-up the "Legal Disclaimer".
I've tried to combined download and the individual download links all with the same results/issue.
Site links seem to be broken.
