Hi,

Intel has shipped ROHS-compliant products since 2002. The common part number with ‘N’ suffix at the last character represented RoHS compliance (RoHS 6/6) part. For example: EPM240F100C5N which is end with ‘N’ suffix indicated it is RoHS compliant whereas without the ‘N’ suffix would be RoHS non-compliant part. All the parts listed below are RoHS compliant:

For further details, please click on the RoHS Compliant link for further details: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/programmable/temperature.html

Next, Intel has been actively monitoring the specifies of the REACH requirements since the EU adoption fo Regulation No. 1997/2006 on December 18. 2006. For details, you may refer to the link below:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/quality-and-reliability/environmental/reach.html

Next, please be noticed that Intel FPGA now plans to prepare for RoHS additional substances in 2015/863/EU below before the 22 July 2019 deadline:

  • Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (0.1 %)
  • Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) (0.1 %)
  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (0.1 %)
  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) (0.1 %)

Thank you

Regards,

Chia Ling

Hi,

Few question as below would like to get further clarification:

1) Is there any specific link that I could download RoHS CoC and REACH CoC for specific part number as listed below?

Manufacturer PN: 1)5AGXBB5D4F40C4N; 2)10M02SCU169C8G

2) As per your explanation above about the plans to prepare for RoHS additional substances in 2015/863/EU before the 22 July 2019 deadline, is it mean that RoHS 3(directive 2015/863/EU) CoC is not available at this moment? only RoHS 2 (directive 2011/65/ EU) is available at this moment?

3) Part number 10M02SCU169C8G without ‘N’ suffix at the last character mean it is not RoHS compliance is it?

Thanks!

Ans: Yes, RoHS 2015/863/EU is still work in progress.

3) Part number 10M02SCU169C8G without ‘N’ suffix at the last character mean it is not RoHS compliance is it?

Ans: 10M02SCU169C8G is RoHS 6 compliant, you may refer to the Max 10 device ordering information, Figure 1 for the sample ordering code:

Hi Chia Ling,

Good day to you!

As I check with you two months ago that RoHS 2015/863/EU is not available at that time and it is still work in progress. Therefore, I would like to check with you again what is the status for RoHS 2015/863/EU now? is it still work in progress or it is available now?

Appreciated your response soon and thanks in advanced!

Regards,

Wei Ping

Hi Wooi,

The (EU) 2015/863 amends Annex II of EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU to add the 4 phthalates, bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) onto the list of restricted substances. The restriction takes effect from July 22, 2019 for electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) products. Starting from 2019, to the best of Intel’s knowledge, no products sold by Intel contain any of these 4 phthalates above 0.1% in homogeneous material.

For details, kindly refer to the link below:

Thank you

Hi,

Above link  https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/quality-and-reliability/environmental/reach.html that shared was the generic REACH statement but not specific REACH statement that pointed to specific part number 5AGXBB5D4F40C4N & 10M02SCU169C8G that we intended to get its REACH declaration certificate/statement. As it is a generic statement, thus, our question is how could we ensure that the part number 5AGXBB5D4F40C4N & 10M02SCU169C8G are fulfill all criteria in the generic REACH statement and declare them as REACH (June 27 2018, 191 substances)  compliance?

is it possible to share the REACH certificate/ statement that directly pointed to these part number 5AGXBB5D4F40C4N & 10M02SCU169C8G as REACH compliance?

Thanks!

Hi Wooi,

Please be noted that  Intel has been actively monitoring the specifies of the REACH requirements since the EU adoption for Regulation No. 1997/2006 on December 18. 2006.  If you want to know which specific Intel products contain SVHC above threshold, please contact your Intel Representative or productecology@intel.com.

Thank you
