How to change values of registers in a design from PC using UART /USB (without reprogramming)

I have a design and there are some registers that need to be initialized/changed as user needs. I need the flexibility to initialize/change these registers with the PC without reprogramming. What should be the approach?

Hi Jay,


Apologize that there is no way to do that. However, you can program partially with partial reconfiguration.


Since you are not attaching any devices, thus i am taking Arria 10 as example:
