I have 50 students that needs access to Quartus Prime Lite Edition. Due to current situation, they are unable to install them on their own devices. We need to host the Quartus Prime Lite Edition on VMs (Citrix) and allow the students to access it. Is it compatible with free version?

Hi,
I am not familiar with Citrix environment but as long as the System Requirements and Prerequisites are met:

I don't think there will be a problem with the Quartus installation on the virtual machine.
If you want to program a device when running the Quartus software on a virtual machine, you may refer to below KDB:
