Intel Quartus Prime Lite version 21.1.1. Error (suppressible): (vsim-12110)

Hi,

I was using Intel Quartus Prime Lite for a project. I opened a University Program VWF to simulate my project. Once I set up the option "Node finder" and pressed Run Functional Simulation, it fed me back with an error:

Error (suppressible): (vsim-12110) The -novopt option has no effect on this product. -novopt option is now deprecated and will be removed in future releases.

I installed Quartus Prime Lite version 21.1.1, but it did not come with the modelsim_ase. For the simulation to work properly I installed ModelSim 20.1. This solved one problem: Error: Invalid license environment. Application closing.

But then the error aforementioned appeared.

How could I solve this problem from Windows 10?

The Modelsim* - Intel® FPGA Edition (including Starter Edition) will be replaced by the Questa* - Intel® FPGA Edition (including Starter Edition) starting from the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.3 and Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard/Lite Edition Software version 21.1 onwards. Thus, it is expected that the Quartus Prime Lite version 21.1.1 do not come with the modelsim_ase.

Please download the Questa*-Intel® FPGA Edition (including Starter edition) so that it is compatible with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Lite Edition Design Software Version 21.1.1.

You can checkout the forum case below on the solution for the -novopt option error:

Hope it helps.
