Hi ,
I've been trying to learn how to use the Quartus II software for 2 days now and I'm afraid I'm stuck. I thought the best way to learn using Quartus II is to start a very simple project. After googling I found this tutorial: ee.sharif.edu/~logiclab/AppendixB_quartus.pdf I followed the instructions ,created the .bdf file and compiled it(till step B3.3) . Now I don't know what to do next, since the tutorial is for an earlier version of Quartus II and I have Quartus II 10.1 so I can't seem to find some options such as running the waveform editor (I heard it's called Qsis in the new Quartus II but I still have no idea how to run it!) So, my fellow forum members , what's next? How to assign the I/Os in my design to keys , switches and I/O pins on the FPGA board (I launched the pin planner , but failed to understand which FPGA pins are connected to which I/O pins and so on ) .And most importantly , how to download my design to the FPGA? a step by step tutorial , that is easy to understand and follow would be very much appreciated. Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks BTW. I'm using an altera cyclone nios ii fpga ep2c8 boardand Quatus II 10.1 subscription edition.Link Copied
